Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire

A Christmas scene, Mum and dad taking the grandkids to see Santa Claus

We travelled down the motorway, in the run up to Christmas, when the snow was so deep it could make an Eskimo proud

Our destination ? Sherwood Forest Holiday Park, set in tall trees and falling snow

The Nephew’s wondered whether or not Santa had got their message they were coming to visit, they soon got their answer.

Wrapped up warm – giving their list to Santa – and getting a special gift

Big smiles all round.

Then we all headed to the café by Santa’s Grotto for a special treat.

A Mug of Special Hot Chocolate and a Fireworks display.

And as the last firework went whoosh in the air – we said goodnight to the reindeer and we returned to the cabin and warmed up by the special log fire – burning pine cones in the corner.
