Brown Gold.

That’s what it is, hot steaming liquid gold.

A perfect thing on a cold, frosty winters morning

A cup of warming hot chocolate.

It waft’s the aroma of something pleasing on a frosty day and warms up the fingers in the surroundings of a motorway service station.

Normally drunk by the cappuccino set as an alternative to their high caffeine fix, the coffee houses up and down the motorways have seen fit to get into selling it…and the Makers of the refined coffee cant wait to sell it

What flavour would you like ?- the barista asks

(Barista – supposedly the guy who blended the coffee or chocolate mix – but on this occasion – the guy who’s operating the fancy machine behind the counter)

Mint, Orange, Blackforest (A special for Christmas) or  Peppermint

I plump for Peppermint – pay the man behind the counter and sit down with my brew and a gingerbread man, as the vapours of chocolate and Peppermint travel through the air towards my nose

And as the mug transports the Brown Gold to my mouth, the ice begins to thaw – a perfect antidote to a winters morning.
