The Inkwell

from inkdrop – poetry, places and events

Appearances in a darkened room
can be deceptive to the naked eye

Old Cats, (and sometimes bats)
fly through an old house (in search of a mouse)

At night, in the light, of a midnight moon
it’s not only Owls that fly

So don’t take flight – when something white
suddenly shows up, at night.

(It’s only the old owner, passing by.)
