Explosion of Colour

Deep down in the Soil,
Hidden away under the snow.
An explosion of colour
has been waiting to blow.

Scattered liberally, over the soil
a colourful pattern has been slow on the boil
Waiting for the moment, of warmth on the ground
for shoots to rise up and take a look round

Green shoots a plenty,
with colour they bring.
From red through to purple
with arrival of Spring.

And lets not forget
these bulbs they need power!
Fed by the sun,
and occasional spring shower.

And as they’re fed by cloud and sun
they let colour explode,
colour that can be seen
up and down the road.
