Cabin

#fowc #cabin

14th March 2020

Carefully crafted, from trees that now surround it

a place to get away from the strains of modern life

blessed with a wonderful view of the lakes and streams

in sight of nearby provisions, a short ride away

not forgetting some wonderful animals

Green

#cyw #green

Tree in green , created by inky at the toolshed

Grown by mother nature

Rampant forests in shades light and dark

Exciting combinations of Yellow and Blue

Envelope the land through the trees

Nice at any time – but particularly christmas

Still

Water by a bank – image from S.C. Vincent

#Writephoto #Still

Sitting by the water , taking in the view

The inhabitants must be sleeping – i thought i’d see a few

In fact all i see is reflections, of the trees a while away

Lined up, all upside down – but seen as clear as day, while

Looking for fish, as i laze away

The Grove

#Promptuarium #Hauntedgrove

Haunted forest ?

a likely story !

up till now – she’d believed the tales her brother told her

not realising ,

the creatures in their homes in the trees were

even more frightened of her – and in the

dark – it was just the forest creatures looking out

Rush hour III

The trees are bending

moving to a western tune

played by coming wind

rolling autumn leaves

around tarmac cul-de-sacs

to the alley’s end

follow the brown leaves

and you find them piled up high

by a pelican

some decide to rest

whilst others run the gauntlet

towards the river

final resting spot ?

answer to question – unclear

floating down river

Lightness

#Octpowrimo #Lightness

Salford, 29th October 2019

As summer draws to a close

and green leaves turn to red

the leaves of the less evergreen

aided by wind rain and streams

float off in a dream, light as a feather

to their final resting spot

where they leave a mark of colour

on the paths around them

Mother Earth

fallen leaves on a Salford park bench captured by inky using a SAMSUNG Digimax 202

Announcing the arrival of autumn

under and around each branch of the trees

the keeper of the trees, mother earth has been busy

undertaking her role of changing the colours

making colourful patterns for people to look at

note, the noise that they make – mother earth has done that too!

Ode to the trees

#Octpowrimo #Huggingatree

They line the road, from bottom to top

watching the people and vehicles pass by

doing their work without a word

the birds rest on their branches as they’ll flop

to trees with lots of leaves they’ll fly

the shade cast on the greens of the grass around

enjoying the cool from the suns rays unheard

out of the sun – on the shadiest ground

Copper

In response to Thursday Photo Prompt

The woodland’s changing colour

from lush juicy greens to rustic reds

and painting a picture with a message

on the woodland paths

with each colourful crunch – “Winter’s coming”

Hotel for the birds

Salford, 23rd March 2019

Modified from an instagram post i posted this morning,

When i wake up

What do i see, beyond the works of

Writing on my desk ?

Wide, are the curtains flung – from

West to east – bringing light to the painted

walls where i do most of my scribbling

Marshmallow pillows float

softly in Salford Skies as

flocks of feathered friends

return from their alfresco restaurant, to

five star accommodation – peering across towards my way

as they enjoy the view.
