In other words – Footprints on the beach

three sets of feet – Walking on the Sand

Rendezvous with candy floss

Sweet stuff acquired – but only two pairs of feet

Smaller pair of toes, treated by Big Feet

Cats eyes

Salford, 9th April 2019

I never really got those markers in the road

why they called them after the pupils of my favourite feline

they followed each other from a to b

leading motorists in the dark

as their eyes lit up

they reminded me of turtles

out in a warmer sea

encased in a hardened case like shell

and saying “hello!” to me

Challenge 30 – No. 30 – Texture

“Taking the rough with the smooth”

Raised impressions of copper coins

Out of the Aquarium, smooth glass beads fool the fish

Under the fingers, some textures provide something to hold on to

gritty sand , much like the coastal rock it came from and

Home to a variety of creatures, whose armour mirror their own.

Nautilus

Now sat with the other beachcombers treasures

A home for the hermit crab

Until yesterday it was collecting plankton on the sea bed

Till it was hoisted up and placed carefully

In a yellow collection bucket, where it

Lived with others like it

Until the beachcomber created

Something to make his house guests smile

Up close and personal with a shell

In response to the weekly photo challenge

Tiny

My close up photography has improved over the last few weeks,

definitions have become clearer – lines sharper

details of a spiral – every line in the curve awoken

in this little thing plucked from the sandy sea bed.

an awful long way from the shore , to get your picture taken.

Close up photography

Location : Brain and Spinal Injury Centre, Salford, Lancashire

Date : 26th October 2016

Todays session of the photography group concentrated on Still life.

It also covered areas of using a zoom lens and tripod.

The above pic was created using a small water fountain, brought in by our marvellous tutor Maggie, a star tripod and my Sony Bridge Camera.

I particularly liked the running water and the shadows in this shot.

I also played around with a seashell using the mermaids backdrop for a covering background.  I like the details of the shells in this one.

The main task for setting up both of these shots was the set up behind the objects.  this shot shows the distance for some shots requiring the lighting.  In the end, I found perching myself at the short end of the table worked the best in both lighting and end result.DSC00541.JPG
