Time Travelling Tourist

#Promptuarium

Taking a look at the airport departure board

often a dilemma for the most seasoned traveller

unless of course you’re waiting for the right moment

rolling up for the open portal

in time to land at your destination

soft white sands and warm summer waters

taken in the blink of an eye

Causeway

Causeway (Image by SC Vincent)

Created as a path across the water

a stretch of sand , gravel or road

usually gets wet when the tide comes in or

sea or river levels rise

especially after really bad storms

when that happens – its advisable to take

another route – or else

you’ll do more than get your feet wet!

Sunset

Salford, 31st March 2020

A poem on the sun going down by inky – its been published by Forward Poetry, appeared on Luna’s blog at Lunatheblog.com and now its back home – enjoy the read………

The pebbles on the shore
were picked up and stacked
for skimming on the sea

Stacked with care
Precariously balanced
The wind made them wobble

The sun watched as
it created shadowy silhouettes
around the sandy shore

Till the tide began to turn
and the stack on the shore
alerted the little ones

The pebbles on the shore
told the children playing on the sand
it was time to go for dinner

Desert Sand

#CYW #Desert #Sand

Drifting in over land and sea

enveloping everything it passes

sand from the sahara travels on the wind

easily passing over land and sea

resting on roofs, cars and even plants

the succulents smile – they’ve seen this before

Soil looking more like blackpool than old trafford

as grains land on the turfs and lawns

notable how the gardener greets it though –

drainage is improved by this helpful visitor

three sets of feet – Walking on the Sand

Rendezvous with candy floss

Sweet stuff acquired – but only two pairs of feet

Smaller pair of toes, treated by Big Feet
