Refuse

Salford, 22nd January 2020

#fowc #refuse

Two definitions for this word fandango’s provided – so I cobbled them together in this

feel free to comment.

Recycling Refuse!

Refusing to recycle your rubbish ?

expect a spot of bother

for if you don’t follow the bin men’s advice

until you do so, the bin will just

sit there – full to the brim of stuff that should be turned into something else

expect an extra invoice when they send a bigger rubbish truck!

Plant

#fowc #plant

27th November 2019

Purple flower – given a bit of a print effect

An acrostic about a plant

Perhaps the greatest thing to come out of the ground

likes to brighten the garden and the air around it

as it recycles the carbon out in the air

note – it doesn’t take much applause , for what it does

though it does appreciate a daily watering and some food now and then

Trash

#fowc #trash

The amount of

Rubbish heading for

An underground site is (believe it or not)

Shrinking day by day – thanks to

Helpful bin collectors

They’ve separated the paper, plastic and glass

Recycling them into new materials

And Stainless Steel and Aluminium is

Separated out before being melted down and

Headed back to the factory for turning into new items

Wednesday Morning, 6.30

#Octpowrimo #Morning #Sunrise

Wednsday morning, 6.30 am : Image by Brian F Kirkham

An early morning piece from inky.

In twenty four society, there’s no time for beauty sleep

There’s parcels to be delivered from point A to B

and piles of paper to be rounded up for recycling

rolling down the main road – the recycling van rumbles

trying his best not to rouse the resting citizens

having run a race with Ra, and won

as the victor , returning to the depot sees the runner up

rise slow above the horizon – reward for the crew ? Breakfast.

Recycling

Salford, 14th August 2019

Someone at the depot, didn’t really

Enjoy the manual extraction of

Paper , Metal , Plastics and Glass

As they passed him by on the conveyor belt

Reaction ? swift as bright coloured cousins joined the usual receptacle

And Markets created to conjure household rubbish by the

Tonne, into something much more pleasing to the

Eye, as yesterdays news transformed into blank new canvas

Recycling

Wednesday 13th February

They put the bins out last night

The value of last weeks news dropped dramatically

As it waits for the refuse van

To take it to the paper mill

While bottles of plastic and glass

And tins and cans

Await their next transformation

Into the latest big thing

Challenge 30 – No6

A Snails eye view’

#photography #closeup #abstract

“You are a noisy mollusc….” Dougal the Dog to Brian the Snail – Magic Roundabout

This was a toughie when working on #challenge30, I mean – how do you get a snails eye view ?

You would have to be a snail wouldn’t you?

I let my imaginary snail loose around the house – where he found, in the kitchen, ready to be recycled this glass bottle – with the contents consumed it made a nice mirror for him to look in…(chortle)

Camera engaged for this one, my Sony DSC H300 – Great for close ups like this, the beading on the bottom of the glass look like beads…
