Appearance of seven bright colours
Breaking through the skies leads to a
Chase through the streets by some in a
Desperate (or plain daft) attempt to grab
Elven, pixie or Leprechaun treasure
Fate decrees though, by the time the hunters
Get to their multi-coloured target , the treasure will
Have been moved…to another end of another rainbow.

I remember when i was little
you could get a whole load of jelly beans
for a single silver coin
but as i got bigger
while the rainbows remained the same
that silver coin lost its sheen
as the silver coin you handed over
got you half the bag you got a year before

Doing schoolwork when the sun is shining is
A bit of a chore – and kids have been doing it for
Years, staring out the window
Doodling sheep out of the clouds
Reactions from the teacher ?
Expected, but getting angry won’t grab their attention
As the warm rays cast onto the tables of the classroom
Making colourful rainbows across the table
Various colours come together
In union to
Bring a smile to peoples faces
Rainbows of bright
And brilliant shades come together
Note how the primaries of red, blue and yellow merge and
Transform into the secondaries of Orange, Green and Purple

Look for the colour in your life….and if you can’t find any add some 😊
Its quite easy being green
Watching the plants wake from the cold of winter
sprouting new shoots from barren branches
Calamatous cold conditions
giving way to glorious growth
watching wiry stems produce perfect petals
Evergreens look on proudly
as new growth comes from fallen seed
proud parent watching little seedlings
Rainbows of colour
pop through the carpet of lush greenery
from red through to violet – dotted round the borders

Blue is the sky
the kite flies through
marshmallow pillows
and as it flies
rainbows brand new
travel through the air
passing over high white willows
colours of strawberry, orange, apple, banana and pear

It always raises a smile
The colours never end
with this pleasant surprise
captured by the eye
So, pick up your brush and paint the scene
and let the colours, red through green, fly
