Holiday time

16th November 2019

Heavens above! is it Christmas already ?

Of course not….there’s five more weeks till then, but

Look around you and you’ll already see

Instant signs the festive season is almost here

Decorations, presents and Festive Food

All over the place, and yet – when Boxing Day gets here

You’ll all be talking about your two weeks in the sun

Five more days of Christmas

Salford 2nd January 2019

#christmas #newyear

If you find this post a little scrambled, there is a reason

Six hours kip doesn’t do much for the festive spirit

But just what do you do after new year ?

Back to work or school after two weeks away

If you’re a kid all you want to do is play

With all those toys you pulled with name under tree

And played all week , your time is free

But now clock has chimed…schools calling for you

And work says mum and dad is needed too

While all the time the tree is in the corner with toys

That gave you a surprise, and some extended joy

Enjoying the Christmas Lights

Salford 23rd December 2017

DSC_0248.JPG

Christmas festivities have been going on a pace this week, and as a typical Salfordian Male – i made the error of letting it wash all over me till This week

Strange as it may seem though – i’ve covered everybody’s christmas presents (even dad’s)

The Nephew’s will be getting their Merlin Passes renewed – the largest purchase – and i’ll leave that till after boxing day

Mum and Little Blister have their chrimbo pressies sorted as have Dad and B-I-L but i’m not bringing up what i’ve bought them less they read this blog.

Will no doubt be meeting up with Uncles and Aunties over christmas – and purchases will be made post boxing day and delivered in the run up to new year

Happy Christmas everyone…..If it seems i’ve gone ‘off grid’  for the next few days – its because i have….this bear will be hibernating….love christmas….cant stand the cold!

Festive

DSC_0272

Falling temperatures lead to heightened

Excitement, among children

Santa Claus is on his way,

To deliver special gifts

In time for Christmas morning

Voices of little ones heard up and down the land in

Excitement..”mum dad! Santa’s been..look under the tree”

Anticipation

In response to the prompt
Anticipation

Anticipation

As you know, there’s a day in the year where endless

Numbers of children up and down the land

Take to their beds (early)

In the hope that in the wee hours of the

Christmas season starting, they’ll get a chance to

Inspect what’s been left under the decorations.

Presents, delivered by mr claus

After he’s landed his snow covered sleigh and entered the house

To the little ones, its the pinnacle of all those days

In school and at home – being good

Of course – by the time he gets here they’ll be asleep – coming from the

North Pole with his Naughty and Nice List.
