Commute

#fowc #transport

We’re all trying to get somewhere

from point A to point B

Cupboards have to be filled

while young minds are filled

Putting your feet first

is the simplest option

but then pushing those pedals

might get you there faster

Its rare to see a horse in the city

but i think they’re hiding

miniature horses pushing

their owners down the road

and heading for a new town

a local thunderbolt

picking up passengers

on stops down the street

An electric rocket ?

snaking through the city

cleaner than his big brother

but shorter distance to travel

Engine

Salford, 6th April 2020

#fowc #engine

Engine, outside the power hall at Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester

Every mechanic knows – it’s

Not the wheels , but the engine that

Get’s a driver from A to B

It’s truly – the heart of any transport

Naval, bus, car or motor bike

Exception – if you’re reliant on foot or pedal power

Radiant

Radiant

Salford, 2nd April 2018

Candle

Radiant in the dawn of sunset

a candle lights the darkness

dim at first, but getting brighter

illuminating the building with its brothers and sisters

as power goes – it gives a torch a run for its money

not to mention the electricity grid

the fuses die ? – out comes the candles
