The Buskers Dilemma

Their pitch was in the perfect location

Their routine rehearsed to perfection

and for once – the sun was shining

No problem with people passing by,

or pigeons up in the blue sky

they had a crowd, who cheered laughed and cried

They sung out most of the afternoon

till the dawn of the appearing evening moon

their caps and cups full, with notes and coins

and rendezvoused back in a caff to rejoin

But after their breakfast and coffee and tea

they soon departed from their moment of glee

for after their repast, after singing their tome

they just had enough for the bus fare home

Cash

#Fowc #Cash

I remember as a kid

collecting the copper coins

in an old tea caddy

Ten penny chocolate drops

your average spend

for a little lads pocket

sweets switched for comic books

saving enamel for copper

and a weeks reading funnies

Hello Mister Twenty Pence

Farewell Mr Pound Note

Miss Shiny Pound has Arrived

Gold Coins saved for Blue Notes

Blue Notes saved for Orange Notes

Orange Notes saved for Purple Notes

Plastic for Paper ? A Surprise indeed

Silver shines in the plastic interior

Value reflected in a fancy Hologram

Fret

DSC01285Fret

Salford, 17th April 2018

There’s plenty of space to rest your fingers

On the neck of your average guitar

Notes are sounded by the position on the strings

Excellent sounds can be achieved if you put them in the right place

(! and if you get it wrong the first time – you can always try again – Don’t Fret !)

Right about now

in music classrooms in high schools up and down the land

four piece bands are being formed and

fret boards are taking a hammering

Repeated notes

in ordered formation

fill empty spaces on the musical page

forming a foundation to create something magical

Rythum and Blues follow guitar

in concert halls up and down the land

following the familiar formation

followed by the star playing the guitar strings

Musical mayhem and culinary capers

Brain and Spinal injury centre, Salford

17th march 2017

another fun session and close ups with objects with Basic Clicks.

continuing with the bokeh theme, we set up shots with various different objects, from spoons to a guitar.  The guitar worked nicely with last weeks shots, as we used a backdrop of musical notes again.  I liked the images I managed to create in the session.

After the session, I enjoyed a lovely steak and onion panini with a side salad in the centre café – “Food for thought”, washed down with a lovely cup of tea!
