Disaster

The islanders were not aware

the fates would turn their watchful glare

on them

The beast below was fast asleep

till something made it jump and leap

near them

And from the ground – and covering rock

the lava rained – giving people shock

round them

and rescuers gathered around

with every naval ship abound

to them

Engine, outside the power hall at Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester

Every mechanic knows – it’s

Not the wheels , but the engine that

Get’s a driver from A to B

It’s truly – the heart of any transport

Naval, bus, car or motor bike

Exception – if you’re reliant on foot or pedal power
