Hard as nails

#SoCs #Nails

Raptor jet (Airfix) Built and photographed by inky

The pieces of the plane

snapped together quite remarkably

from propeller to wing to cockpit

it’s parts have kept together

locked in tight – no need for a hammer or nails

superglue ? redundant

it would take some serious force

for it (or any of it’s fellow squadron)

to lose their wings

though there is a case

gravity may play a hand

There’s a reason why they put this label on boxes

Of course, you know why this is – so that when you open it

Pieces of the puzzle (the table you bought) – don’t get lost

Picture in Pieces (p + c – inkdrop)

Satellite imagery is wonderful technology

Landing pictures on our telly screens from far far away

Interference from Meteors, Asteroids (or even a Martian or two)

Can make the snap from the satellite look not as

Exact as you would have expected it

Directors playing jigsaw puzzles before putting it on screen

Broken

Broken

the elaborate jigsaw

lies strewn on the floor

of the coffee house

jagged shards of porcelain

cast out in a circular pattern

across the marble floor

perhaps the barista

should have taken note

of the temperature of

the coffee machine

Fragile

Fragile

For years now, people have been

ranting over the amount of packaging an item is wrapped in.

a thing they need to consider is where it’s

going to. There’s a lot of movement in a delivery van, and

if the owners don’t want their precious vases turned into a jigsaw puzzle

lifting the cargo will take a little bit of t.l,c.

equally, it will remind the removals team not to use them as a rugby ball

Puzzled

Puzzled

Poor old Dad!

Unusually for a Boxing day, he’d completed the thousand piece jigsaw –

Zany thing was – after he’d finished (he had that was clear) there was

Zero room for what he definitively labelled as “The Last piece”

Looking around the peripheries of the picture

Expecting to find a hole for this missing part

Dumbfounded ?  Definately

Rearrange…

In response to the daily post prompt
Rearrange

(Alternative title : one lads quest against the puzzle machine)

Ok, rearrange the mixed up puzzle bits…

Christmas is coming up so its a definite bet I shall be getting one of these from Santa’s Sack from a well meaning relative in a few weeks time

They say these things are good for the brain – I shall beg to differ.

Now here’s the funny thing.

These 3D wooden puzzles come in a completed state in a plastic box. Unlike your average jigsaw puzzle – the answers there already.   What they want you to do is take them apart and put it back together again… and fit it back in the box…

It Kind of Defeats the objective doesn’t it ?

You break it apart – into its various ‘pieces’ and then take hours trying to put it back together again.

I take solace in they give you a ‘solution’ – but try and get any of these puzzles the way they were presented in the box…and I can hear the sound of screaming up and down the country

worse still they dangle the carrot – of another solution, rearranging the pieces

and lord help you if you lose a piece….

and then when you finally made the blessed thing…what happens?

someone undoes all your hard work and you have to begin again….

(AARRRGH!!!!!)

That was me screaming in silent frustration after completing the brown wood pyramid puzzle in the photo and then seeing it fly in different directions….

I’m sticking with the Ipad puzzles.
