A Tangerine for Elevenses

When they are around, when i’m heading for BASIC I always take a Tangerine (or two)with me for the break period during the photography class.  I like fruit, but Tangerines more, because of the way they fit in the hand and are easy to Peel!

They are also less messy than another of my Favourites , Oranges…(see below)

Three of my Favourite Fruits

I like oranges, particularly the juice.  But also sliced up and served with a dash of sugar.

Apples are great any time of the year, but if I had to pick a favourite I prefer green to red

When the greengrocer can get them, I also enjoy Kiwi fruit – you cant eat the skin but this fuzzy haired fruit has a really lovely taste

They say you should have five a day – but the fruit is nice any time of the day.bananaAnother fruit I enjoy are Bananas.  Any time of the Day.  either as part of Breakfast, or as a pudding after lunch or tea….Normally seen eaten by me tween two slices of Warburton’s Wholemeal – with or without the addition of chocolate spread 🙂

Also nice covered in custard, or in a cake – or a mix of the two 🙂 Apologies for the last pic not being here – I scoffed the evidence (Hee Hee!)

Fence
For years, a defining line for who owns what

each individual tending their side of it

never forgetting of course to

converse with the neighbours next door

everybody keeping their patch of green tidy

If it could speak – it could say so much

forged in a fire – with a merry old band

laid together in a wall, by architects planned

travelling by lorries and sometimes by crane

protector from elements – wind and the rain

together – in union – from pressures you wont fall

unless it from dynamite or a big wrecking ball.

Little Ghost

A poem in response to the prompt

Ghost

A little ghost went out to play

but found the children ran away

when he appeared that hallowed night

and wondered what gave them a fright

He’d been sat all alone in that old spooky house

with no one to speak to but a passing mouse

who after seeing our friend with a squeak

ran off quickly with nowt but an eeek!

But then one night of All Hallows’ eve

an old black cat, was playing in leaves

he had spotted the little ghosts ghostly head

and decided to play in his house instead.

And the old black cat, brought his chums along too,

chanting and wailing and all going boo!

And the ghosties and ghouls that lived round the place

made friends with the ghost with the bluish white face

So when you see trails on All Hallows’ eve

dont be frightened or worried and just believe

as the ghosts have their tea at little ghosts place

the one where the host has a bluish white face
