Looking : A Found Poem

#Love #Romance #Poetry

Salford 14th January 2019

another found poem by me via Spike Milligans Box 18

I’ve stopped looking for that diamond

that brightens up my day

the beauty of your eyes

still capture me in the evening light

as we pass each other by

and memories of walking through the daisy patch

still return – fresh in the mind

Brilliant

Brilliant

Bright as a button

Rounded to perfection

If you look carefully at the way the

Light falls upon it you’ll see a rainbow of

Lights falling to the floor

It’s a sign of its perfect cut

And quality

Nuptials assured – a sign of love from groom

To Bride

One of a Kind

Original

A tale of a jewel – told in acrostic form

Only you have possession of it –

Round the world you went

In search of something so

Great – captain Bones himself would be envious

Innovative, but beautiful – Dazzling to the eye

Never seen before by the jeweller – its unique

And women and men alike

Long to wear it on their hand.
