Second day of the Christmas Countdown
everyone knows , that soon this drum major will be
rapping out a tune on his drum – for
gooey chocolate cookies might be guarded by him
expecting little ones to go on a hunt
not knowing where the treasure is hiding
that’s something – the dear major is keeping under his hat

That Tin box in the Christmas bag hides something
Really sweet and tasty
Everyone knows its something special
As you don’t have it to excess
Thing is – you can have some every day – after you’ve eaten your dinner
All Hallows eve, Salford 2017
Maybe it was a ghost that paid a visit
yesterday – but if that’s the case
some ghost has a taste for cocoa and cookies
taken from my suppertime plate
each cookie now resembling a crescent moon
reduced levels in the cocoa mug
yes its a puzzle – whodunnit ?
