Over at the toy store
in buckets of colours mixed
are pieces of your lego man
waiting to be picked
from builder to spaceman
and cowboy and all
they’re put together by the kids
sitting about an inch tall
and the adventures they go on
are all down to you
as they drive a fire engine
or look after a zoo
Just be careful, where you take them
and keep hold of their threads
or they’ll meet with an accident
and could lose their heads

The heat of the kitchen
was the moment
The hydrogen twins
departed from their oxygen mum
And went their own way
Flying around the air
In an attempt to find their own space

everyone can enjoy

For many years , i’ve been a fan of the fantasy genre.
as Local folk writers with hi tales of mystical lands
near to, or in the vicinity of my home garden
terrific and tantalizing tales of witches and wizards
all playing round in a coppice or wood
some tales are close to the truth –
those up the road by the pennines will tell you that. And
you’ll hear the ghosts and ghouls every time all hallows eve comes about
and enjoy letting your imagination go wild

Up on the hillside, who is that
hiding up in those misty hills
are we being over looked
by giant’s giving us chills ?
for out there in the distance
characters standing still
leaving us nothing but shadows
only caught by pencil or quill

to a familiar mouse in a sorcerers suit
they sit on my bookshelf
awaiting their curtain call
a cast of thousands awaiting
their appearance on a digital stage

There’s a range of characters
On the stage, in bright coloured attire
Making Mirth , for your entertainment
If you’re lucky – they’ll be a
Musical number or maybe magic tricks and
Everyone enjoys the antics of the panto animals
