This week, the challenge was to find pictures with words with two Es in them. So, to start off – here’s an artwork, created by me from a stock photo from google. It’s an African Elephant – and its recognisable by its two big ears! I chose this to begin as they reminded me of my first visit to Chester zoo…i still have the mug!
Living in Salford, meant my first trip to the Zoo to see the Elephants was by coach down the A roads and motorways to get there. Later on, i travelled by car with mum , dad and my little sister, it was an FSO – built like a Jeep , so this model is perfect as a replica!
I enjoyed walking around the enclosures , and seeing the big cats and the chimpanzees
And here’s one of some Cheetahs , some of the big cats at Chester Zoo, alongside the Lions and Tigers and Leopards, (there was even a panther there!)
To start with, here’s a night time shot of the Holiday inn express on Salford’s Quayside, taken at Dusk by one of the Docks or as the people call them now basins 🙂
You could call this a 3D shot – as it was Dark as well !
The canal is pretty Deep, and joins up to the river irwell and mersey
This shot was taken during a family holiday to the Turkish Resort of Oludeniz. The beach was teaming with wildlife, maybe down to the hordes of fish that sat in the clear blue waters by the sand. The Ducks raised a smile as they waddled about in the sea.
Starting off with a Colourful one, taken at a session of the photography group Basic Clicks – Six Colourful Carrots on Blue Canvas!
here’s a couple of interesting Cutlery pieces – the first is of four forks against a wall, – i liked the shadows created in this pic.
Combination of ideas here, with a twist – Spirals of Cutlery , set on canvas.
Still life shot of various vegetables set out on a slate Cheeseboard, some onions (white and red), a tomato, a cut Cabbage and the return of one of those Carrots we saw earlier
Now fellow wordpressors might have seen this one before, but as its cees photochallenge, i thought i’d put it on here – not for the wonderful bridge (that’s the wrong letter folks!!!) but for those fluffy white marshmallow clouds , over looking the quayside at Salford, attached to the Manchester ship Canal.
Last but not least, here’s a close up of a cornflower – i like this one because of the colour!
This photograph was taken during the summer, and is of the purple / blue flowers that were growing in the garden planters in the front garden of the family home. They’re offset by the pink flowers in the background – and if you look very closely…a very special guest makes an appearance.
Photograph taken with Sony Cybershot and cleaned up round the edges in Serif Photoplus
No Photographer was harmed in the creation of the shot.
I’ve used my photo tools with good effect to bring some vibrant colour to the building I currently volunteer at
