#cffc #weather #clouds #week4
mish mash of marshmallow skies
summer seems so far away
as angry grey cloud looms overhead
but out in the distance
as if playing peek a boo 👻
the sky pops through the clouds
all clearest and blue
#CFFC #Wood
A poem by Milligan, I might have used artistic licence
A very high tree, ten foot tall
was chopped down to make some chairs
and I bought one
Now me, five foot seven
is 4 foot three when I sit down in it
did they really cut down a ten foot tree to make me look shorter ?

#CFFC #Octopus #Underwater #Sea
He swam from tropical waters
and landed in our seas
rescued by a trawler
from being a seagulls tea
The boatmen stored him carefully
as they made their way to the dock
a wildlife officer would come on board
at the entrance to the lock
Far too risky to put back in the waters
so they took him to a kind of zoo
“The Sea Life Centre” near Old Trafford
Travelling down the M62
And the keepers they took care of him
and made sure he was watered and fed
as he found a spot in the waters
and headed off to bed
#CFFC #Week1 #Components #Gates #Geometry
Close up of a gate at Ordsall Park in Salford – I like the shapes!
The Gates were installed as a “New” entrance to the park
The embossed ident on one of the gates pillars

#CFFC #LetterT
Challenge for the Letter T entry was a little different – any photo but must have two Ts in the title
So as i pondered over some buttered toast , i considered what sort of images i could use
I like butterflies, i like the coloured patterns on their wings
I took this picture of a yellow and black butterfly whilst on holiday in Zakynthos, in Greece.

We begin with Detroit Bridge and Salford Quays…wait a mo, i hear my readers cry…That’s Not a P word!….let me continue and i’ll explain
Upto the late 80s and 90s with the areas redevelopment the area the picture above was known as the Port of Manchester….as shipping landed goods up and down the waterway.
The area around the docks has been given a spruce up and theres plenty of Green space and Parkland, where they could put it.
The landing point for sailing boats and narrowboats is popular for birdwatchers as various different birds frequent the waters.
We may not get anything as colourful as this Parrot visiting the neighborhood, but we do get a fair portion of regular birds, such as seagulls, sparrows, starlings, bluebirds and not forgetting, Pigeons.
They’re all partial to a bag of fish and chips!

OK Cee, I’ll do me best!
To start with here’s a couple of Museums photographed in the area where i live….
Most of these were taken #Midsummer – so theres another word with more than 1 M
The Fusiliers Museum in Bury holds not only the Regimental Collection but is home to the Cenotaph for the town, and in regards to the regiment the County – in Memoriam
Manchester Museum is located by the Victoria University of Manchester on Oxford road, and is known primarily for its Archeological and Historical Artifacts. In fact, there’s a special exhibit that greets you at the entrance – his name is Rex.
As part of the artifacts, you will come across the Egyptology exhibits – The Victoria Museum is known for its Mummies
One of these artefacts actually came down the road from Salford and is still known as the Salford Mummy to this day, so its nice to pay her a visit!
Salford Museum is the Home of Lark Hill Place, a Victorian Street that shows how people lived during that time – there’s the old cobbles and washing lines, and you’ll hear the sounds of the Grocers, the Blacksmith and the chemists
And how can i forget the foundation stone on which this blog was made.?…(Ha Ha)
My second home (well, i volunteer here enough to call it home! 🙂 )
#CFFC #LetterJ #BASIC
A couple of photos taken from sessions at BASIC Clicks, the photography group i belong to at the Brain and Spinal injury centre in Salford

And here’s some pics of some Jam (Raspberry) and Lemon curd, common thread ? all items were photographed at BASIC. The Jams were made at Food for Thought, BASICs Cafe – they’re tasty on a piece of toast or a crumpet!
