Relaying the colours of the rainbow, from palette to canvas
Upward and downward movement, bringing objects into view , while
Sweeping movements give an element of speed
Held in the hand of the master, that’s quite a picture that’s brought to life

noting and transferring the idea and vision
carefully to canvas using colourful media
equal care given to the objects around the main subject
not forgetting the sun or the sky
taking attention to each shade of blue transferred
reality is – there’s plenty of them
as they’re placed around the brilliant red shape of the sail
the picture begins to form on the canvas
in the end – its a picture the painter can be proud of
of course, it’s taken considerable time and attention to detail
not forgetting an awful lot of patience.

Starting off with a Colourful one, taken at a session of the photography group Basic Clicks – Six Colourful Carrots on Blue Canvas!
here’s a couple of interesting Cutlery pieces – the first is of four forks against a wall, – i liked the shadows created in this pic.
Combination of ideas here, with a twist – Spirals of Cutlery , set on canvas.
Still life shot of various vegetables set out on a slate Cheeseboard, some onions (white and red), a tomato, a cut Cabbage and the return of one of those Carrots we saw earlier
Now fellow wordpressors might have seen this one before, but as its cees photochallenge, i thought i’d put it on here – not for the wonderful bridge (that’s the wrong letter folks!!!) but for those fluffy white marshmallow clouds , over looking the quayside at Salford, attached to the Manchester ship Canal.
Last but not least, here’s a close up of a cornflower – i like this one because of the colour!

Don’t be mistaken
Everyone knows – this ain’t corderoy
Noted as a hard wearing fabric – Its dark blue colour
Instantly recognisable by those who work the fields
Mostly on horseback – but sometimes with four wheels
Oh little resting place of mine
set among forest of green
lashed down on the grassland
in space of trees between.
Your A-Frame and Flysheet,
are a real treat,
against the clouds
you cannot be beat.
And under your flysheet is perfect,
for drying boots after ‘ hike
as raindrops drain down, into gully of brown
and one or two of your spikes
When midges arrive, you’re a cover –
whilst getting prepared for parade
and when sunshine is fierce and fiery
you provide the perfect shade.
Plenty of space for my camp kit
at head of my bag I will rest
and as I work and play, they’ll be safe all day
under the best cover in camp in the west
And when I seek you , out at night
your reflecting orange shines in torchlight
and as I rest my happy head
your canvas cover overlooks my bed.
They call you the “Good Companion”
The orange tent on forest ground
A place that is home for a scouter –
the best little tent all around.
