Bluebells

#writephoto #bluebells

Bluebell wood : Writephoto prompt by S.C Vincent

Brushing against the flowers in the carpet of blue

listen out for the chimes as you walk

usually, you wouldn’t hear them

except – on this occasion – there’s only the

birch trees – and they’re not saying much

even the squirrels are being quiet –

listening to the noise of the bluebells as they

lightly sway in the

spring breeze

Swallow

Swallow

Sat on a branch of a silver birch or oak

waiting for the rest of the gang to catch up

a wonder of the skies takes a break

letting himself have a rest before taking off again

little bird of blue white and black

over the heights he looks, planning

where he will swoop to next
