Photography – Flowers

A Backlit Tulip

11th May 2016

In today’s photography session, we’ve been learning about lighting effects with flowers to create some striking and wonderful pictures.

The lights were hidden away behind a soft linen mesh which allowed the light to shine through it whilst hiding the lights themselves.  This concentrated the light on the flower head itself – enhancing the individual colours in the flowers and creating a wonderful effect.

I liked this particular shot because of the way the colours were enhanced in the tulips head.

I’m taking them as part of my vocational rehab at the Brain & Spinal Injury Centre in Salford in England.
